Society for the Advancement  of Research and Teaching at the Walther Schücking Institute for International Law

The Society for the advancement of research and teaching at the Walther Schücking Institute for International Law was founded on May 17, 1978. The Society supports the WSI in its undertakings  by promoting its research activities and teaching.

As a non-profit association, the Society uses its resources primarily for the promotion of young academics and grants authors of very good dissertations subsidies for printing them. It also supports publications by the Institute. Furthermore, the Society funds the annual lecture series and the moot court team of the Faculty of Law. In this respect the Society’s activities not only benefit the Institute but also the Faculty of Law and the general public.

The Society is open to all those who want to support research and teaching at the WSI. Businesses and institutions are welcome to become members. The membership fee is tax deductible.

Supporters can either become a regular or sponsoring member. Besides receiving invitations to WSI events, sponsoring members will also get the annual activity report where they will be mentioned and thanked by name.
