After arriving in Kiel firstly you have to enrol at the International Center of the Christian Albrechts University of Kiel. More information about enrolment is to be found in your acceptance letter. The International Center is located in the ground floor of the building “Westring 400”.
Afterwards please come to the ERASMUS/LL.M. office – Mrs. Carmen Thies is responsible for the incoming students of the Faculty of Law. The Institute is situated on the forst floor of the same building (Westring 400).
Office hours: Monday – Freitag, 9 - 12 o’clock (except Thursday)
Choice of lectures
You are totally free in choosing your lectures but the Faculty of Law would strongly recommend that you participate in the lecture “Introduction to German Law”. There is, however, no obligation to do so.
Generally you may attend any lecture given at the University of Kiel, unless otherwise stipulated (e.g. due to restriction of admission). ECTS-Credits are only given for lectures in law – with one exception: The Faculty of Law provides specific language law courses in a foreign language, for such a course credits are also provided. Profile of the exams
The lectures of the Faculty of Law are finalised with a written or an oral exam. In general ERASMUS-students have to pass the same exam like other participating students of these lectures. The decision whether the exam is a written or an oral one lies in the hand of the leader of the particular lecture. You need to clarify this question directly with the teaching staff. [more]
