Public Pleading - Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition 2015

10.02.2015 von 09:00 bis 12:00

Westring 400, Raum 03.71

The Jessup Moot Court is the world’s largest moot court competition, with participants from over 550 law schools in more than 80 countries. The Competition is a simulation of a fictional dispute between States before the International Court of Justice.

As every year, the Walther Schücking Institute for International Law at Kiel University coaches a team of five student members, who are enthusiastic to present their claims to the Court. Amongst other questions, this year’s Competition deals – highly topical in light of the ongoing crisis in Ukraine – with issues raised by the secession of a province from one State and its annexation by another State.

We are therefore pleased to invite you to a
