Mar 23, 2017

The German National Rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition  took place at the University of Passau from March 8-12, 2017. Twenty teams from German universities competed to get into the finals – the International Rounds held in Washington D.C. in April 2017. Our team gave an outstanding performance and was placed fifth. Beyond that, the team was ranked sixth in the category ‘best written pleadings’ and was third best in their pleading of the defendant.

Research associates Isabelle Haßfurther  and Jens Kaiser , assisted by Henning Büttner and Marvin Schwope, coached the girls’ team consisting of: Josephine Freytag, Nora Harder, Alena Kunstreich, Armine Usojan, and Nathalie Zavazava.

Also, Armine Usojan was ranked fourth best speaker of 70 speakers in total.
